Gains in life expectancy across global populations are recognized as a societal achievement. However, increased lifespan does not necessarily mean a longer healthier life. To that point, did you know that while the average life expectancy in the U.S. is around 77-79 years, the average health span is significantly shorter, ranging from 62-66 years? That means many Americans face up to 15 years of life with the challenges of chronic health issues.
