“Discover who you really are, why you were born at this time, and how you want to engage with the world. And learn to not take it all so seriously,” Coby.
In a recent article, Huff Post Lifestyle listed “10 Undeniable Reason You Should Be Doing Yoga” among them: reducing stress and anxiety and lowering blood pressure; healthy way to loose weight; strength training; boosts brain function; improves reaction time and sharpens memory; helps relieve chronic pain; helps with insomnia; reduces the frequency and intensity of migraines in sufferers; enhances sexual performances in both women and men; improves balance and flexibility; mood-boosting overall.
And here is an 11th reason.
Her name is Coby.
Coby Kozlowski M.A., E-RT, is one of the top presenters at the upcoming Telluride Yoga Festival, Thursday, July 21 – Sunday, July 24. Tickets here.
Poet, skier, sky diver, surfer, artist, triathlete (in 2016 she completed her first half Ironman), ultimate frisbee player, fire spinner and hooper, flying trapezist, ukulele novice, and lover of adventure, Coby was named by Mother Nature Network as “one of the 7 yoga teachers who have changed the practice [of yoga],” as follows:
“Coby Kozlowski is a Kripalu yoga teacher whose incredible energy is just plain catching and whose interests are omnivorous. She not only teaches yoga classes in the Kripalu style, but is a life coach and storyteller, an expert in transformative leadership, and and ecstatic dance teacher. Each of these areas of expertise informs the other when she teaches, culminating in an inspired class as well as a great workout. According to her site, Coby has a raft of intensive trainings and certificates in raw food, leadership, Ayurvedic studies, dance and psychology…
Coby Kozlowski is on the faculty of the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, where she leads 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings. She is also on the faculty of the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA, where she leads a month-long program Integral Leadership, a unique and life-affirming approach to personal and professional leadership using contemplative and cutting-edge wisdom.
Coby has been featured on the cover of Yoga Journal Magazine and in other publications such as Mantra Magazine and Well + Good. And she delivered an inspiring TEDxTalk: A One Degree Revolution: Small Shifts, Big Changes, in which she provides a blueprint for learning to love our authentic selves.
At the Telluride Yoga Festival, Coby is teaching two classes on Saturday, July 23, 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
“Svatantrya: The Flow of Absolute Freedom” is a workshop (50:50 movement and discussion) all about deepening our understanding of what fuels our inner spark that manifests as radiance.
“Wave Rider: Flowing through the Six Qualities of Consciousness” is a workshop (60:40 discussion, movement) all about awakening our inner “wave rider” or the part of us that knows how to go with the flow, with little resistance, of the different currents of life.
On Sunday, July 24, 8 a.m., Coby leads “Blissed Out: Ecstatic Prana Dance and Meditation” (25:75, discussion, movement-meditation), in which conscious movement and ecstatic meditation are used to release blockages that prevent you from living life fully and freely expressing your entire being.
