05 Sep YOUR AH HAA MOMENT: CAPTURING BLUES & BREWS
It’s right around the corner, the big grand finale of the Telluride’s summer festival season: Telluride Blues & Brews.
The Ah Haa School for the Arts and Telluride Blues & Brews have joined forces to bring you a unique and exclusive photographic twist on this years event. Not only will participants have access to the festival and the photography pit, but also to festival photographer Barry Brecheisen.
Barry’s credentials are impressive. Images shot by the entertainment photographer have appeared regularly in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Playboy, US Weekly, Time, ESPN the Magazine, Newsweek, SPIN, the Chicago Tribune and dozens of other publications. nown first and foremost as a rock ’n’ roll photographer, Barry has shot Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bruce Springsteen — and practically every other famous rock star who’s toured since 1997.
The Ah Haa School’s workshop pairs participants with local photographer Nori Lupfer for the weekend, with daily tutelage from Barry. There will be time for critiques and personal instruction from both of these seasoned shooters. Lupfer has worked extensively in the performing arts and received a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship. Her work has been displayed in major cities across the world and she has toured globally, performing and photographing live performances.
A unique way to advance your knowledge of photography and your ability to move up to the next level by learning from the pros and enjoying things you love: ‘hood music, good beer and people who share your tastes. Explore different styles and techniques of photography such as action shots and portraits, while learning to capture the festival’s vibe. Let the energy carry you and with a little help from your professional friends, be amazed by the images you produce.
The three-day photography workshop runs from Thursday September 13 – Sunday September 16, Blues & Brews weekend.
Advanced Beginner to Intermediate level photographers are invited to join: knowledge of your camera and laptop is essential.
Participants are encouraged to sign up early.The workshop is expected to fill up.
The cost of the program is $475 and includes a Telluride Blues & Brews pass.
