09 May ECOACTION ROUNDTABLE: WASTE STREAM INNOVATIONS
Green Business Roundtable is changing its name along with The New Community Coalition. While TNCC is becoming EcoAction Partners, the GBR is becoming the EcoAction Roundtable (EAR). We continue to hear this education series brings interesting and informative speakers to the Telluride region throughout the year, but we also want to give the community more “roundtable” time for an exchange of information and the great ideas you have and are willing to share.
On Friday, May 11, 8:30 a.m., Program Room, Wilkinson Public Library, EcoAction Partners staff will be talking about:
• Rethinking WASTE as a RESOURCE: composting, energy, repurposing
• ZERI – Zero Emissions Research Initiatives – how a plethora of problems can lead to synergistic solutions. Kris Holstrom will talk about ZERI and give examples of particular issues and their creative transformation from problem to elegant solutions.
• The new Zero Waste Task Force formation: their goals and objectives and how to get involved.
• Announcing a Creative Recycling Contest – what’s the best idea YOU have? Can we make it happen?
• Spring Cleanup – May 18th and 19th!
And YOUR ideas regarding waste: what works and what needs work in our community.
