16 Jun Fashion Friday: Specials for Telluride Bluegrass– and the rest of us

The much ballyhooed 38th annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival is in full swing. The energy in Town Park is whiz slam high, on and off the stage. The Park perimeter is chockablock with things to buy and eat, with the music, not to be missed. Unless you were not one of the lucky ones with a ticket. However, no need to pout. There’s bluegrass action all over town and in Mountain Village: check Planet Bluegrass’s website for programs in Elks Park and Nightgrass. There’s a free movie at the Nugget, “How To Grow A Band,” which tells the story of the evolution of Chris Thile and Punch Brothers. The filmmakers will be on hand for the event, which is scheduled for Saturday morning, 11 a.m. And Two Skirts hosts its annual Bluegrass Sidewalk Sale, a tradition Festivarians and everyone else seem to love.
