Telluride's Friends of the Library was established to assist the San Miguel County Public Library District #1. The goals of the organization include promoting public awareness of library services, support for library improvement and advancement, and sponsoring cultural and educational programs & activities.
The Library Used Book Sale, two weekends, Friday – Sunday, June 10 – June 12, and Saturday and Sunday, June 18 – June 19, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., in the parking garage, is the Friends of Library's only major public fundraiser.
