02 Apr Rocky Mountain Yoga Conference features Viniyoga therapist River Cummings
For 10 years, I took private lessons with Viniyoga therapist River Cummings, and found the customized sequences we did together transformative. I am now in the teacher training program with River’s teacher and the head of the lineage in America, Gary Kraftsow, with only one more session to go for my certification. River now lives in Boulder, and so our meetings are less frequent, but no less magical.
Next month, River is offering a workshop, “Introduction to Yoga Therapy,” at the 2009 Rocky Mountain Yoga Conference, April 17 – April 19, Park Hyatt, Beaver Creek, Colorado.
Below is her summary of the opportunity:
“You’ve probably already heard that therapeutic yoga can alleviate things like back pain or neck stiffness, but did you also know it can help restore vitality and healthy digestion? Sound sleep? Were you aware that certain yoga techniques can balance emotions or improve attention, memory and mental focus? Join River Cummings for this fun and informative session and discover the broad scope of symptoms for which Viniyoga Therapy can be an effective tool. After a brief lecture, enjoy a multidimensional therapeutic practice designed to address the specific conditions requested by the class. “
