Alice Ross, the culinary historian author of the Afterword in A Christmas Dinner, put out by Red Rock Press, has worked 20 years as a dedicated food professional, teacher and collector. She has served as consultant in historical food for such noted museums as Virginia's Colonial Williamsburg and The Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts. An avid gardener and naturalist, she enjoys collecting old books and pots, and is a passionate cook. She is a member of the International Association of Cooking Professionals and a co-founder of the Culinary Historians of New York. The beautiful kitchen of her Long Island home is a working museum, which she describes in her podcast.
