Coffee & Climate Conversations: Where Recreation meets Resilience
From big adventures to spending time with family and friends, recreation is often at the heart of our experiences on public lands. Join Sheep Mountain Alliance and EcoAction Partners for a discussion about recreation on our public lands alongside Telluride Mountain Club and Rico Trails Alliance. Learn more about what’s next for trails in our region, and join us as we ask the questions: How do recreation and conservation intersect, and where do they diverge? How does recreation shape our community and values? And most importantly, how can you be a strong steward and advocate for public lands and climate across our region? Coffee and pastries kindly provided.
Between Grief and Gratitude: where love and loss meet in a changing world
Join Lauren Norton of “Through the Woods Doula,” Mollie Theis of EcoAction Partners, and the Wilkinson Public Library for a four-part series on navigating climate anxiety and eco-grief. The first two sessions will consist of a facilitated community conversation connecting our love of these landscapes with the challenge of the climate crisis at our doorsteps. After exploring our shared relationship with the current reality, the second two sessions will provide opportunities to express pain, grief, love and hope through various mediums including local poetry and group art projects.
EV Showcase at the Ridgway Rendezvous
EcoAction Partners will be at the Ridgway Rendezvous Saturday, August 8 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. alongside the Ridgway Sustainability Advisory Board, CLEER, and SMPA for an Electric Showcase including the annual EV Ride and Drive. Stop by our collective booth at the Rendezvous to learn more about local electrification incentives, rebates, resources and more! Visit the EV Ride and Drive at the Railroad Museum from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Full Circle Fashion Fundraiser
EcoAction Partners and The AhHaa School for the Arts are hosting a Full Circle Fashion Fundraiser Saturday August 29th and Sunday August 30th. You can donate or consign your clothes for this event and help support sustainability and the arts in your community!
Do you have a closet full of gorgeous clothes you’re no longer reaching for? Support a circular economy by donating or consigning your clothes so that they become the next person’s treasured item.
Here are the quick deets:
1. Option to donate your clothes (donation boxes at EcoAction Partners Office on Main street, Telluride, Eco Cleaners in Lawson Hill, Franz Klammer Lobby in Mountain Village and the Wilkinson Public Library)
2. Option to consign your clothing Saturday, August 15th at Patagonia or all week long August 24th-28th at the EcoAction Partners Office
3. Not an option. You must bring all your friends and come shop the sale Saturday August 29th and Sunday August 30th on the AhHaa Sky Deck!
