Ben Musser & Walker Young make up a roots power-duo from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The duo performs vocally driven soul and country music. Young (of Truth & Salvage Co.) play accordion, keyboards and vocals and Musser (of Benyaro) is on guitars, drums, and vocals.
The duo is currently promoting Musser’s new solo album, Sentimental Fever, out May 1 on Blackbird Record Label, while also recording their premiere EP.
Passionate performances, boot-stomping joy, and seasoned vocals that move both themselves and others to sing and feel the emotion, explain the Ben Musser & Walker Young live music performance experience.
It took two decades of acclaimed songwriting for Ben Musser to make his solo debut.

As the frontman behind projects like Benyaro, Musser spent years in collaborative mode, stretching the limits of American roots music while teaming up with other musicians. Benyaro earned its share of accolades, playing everywhere from SXSW to the Sundance Film Festival. Even so, Musser — who juggled multiple instruments onstage, singing and strumming his acoustic guitar, while simultaneously playing kick drum, hi-hat, and shaker with his feet — couldn’t help but feel like something else loomed just out of sight, waiting to take shape.
Ben Musser’s solo album, Sentimental Fever, has been featured on NPR’s Great American Folk Show, CMT, Visual Atelier 8, Grateful Web, Glide Magazine and numerous other publications.
