18 May Telluride Science May: Women & Allies in Climate, 5/21! & Digital Art, 5/22-5/24!
Telluride Science is proud to partner with Women & Allies in Climate, an initiative of The Nature Conservancy, for a conversation exploring innovative climate solutions in Colorado and beyond — and the vital role of women’s leadership in building a lasting, effective movement to address the impacts of climate change. This event and the next (below) take place at Telluride Science & Innovation Center.

Attendees will learn about The Nature Conservancy’s role in addressing climate at a global scale, and how the Women & Allies in Climate network unites and galvanizes women leading the climate movement.
Speakers include Taunya van der Steen-Mizel as well as TNC’s Managing Director, Dr. Becca Benner, and Jakob Lundaas, who leads the Conservancy’s climate policy work in Colorado.
The presentation runs 2:30-3:30 pm, followed by a cocktail party to continue the conversation.
This event will wrap up in time for guests to attend the Filmmakers Dinner or other Mountainfilm festivities that evening.

John Collette’s Portal Experience , Telluride Innovation Center, May 22-24, 8:30-10:00 pm

John Colette is a media artist, educator, and curator. His work spans teaching, research, digital production, and the development of large-scale public display systems, with an emphasis on immersive spatial experience and critical approaches to contemporary media culture.
Colette’s work, “Portal, a location-based arboreal projection that explores the transformation of existing space with light, will be projected from the back patio of the Telluride Innovation Center. Free and open to the public.
