Telluride MusicFest is a brilliant, beautiful series of sights and sounds that always elicits hosannas from a rapt crowd. Musicfest 2026 is again under the co-artistic direction of Kathryn Lockwood and Yousif Sheronick and hosted by Claire Beard’s Telluride Chamber Music in an ongoing collaboration.

Set in the beautiful Mai home overlooking Sunshine mountain MusicFest 2026, titled “Threads of Sound,” will feature three major concerts: Brahms masterpieces, and a special clarinet guest at the heart of the middle performance. All tickets include a catered reception and chance to mingle with the artists.

June 29, 6Ppm • Mai House
The opening concert of the series explores the rich emotional spectrum of chamber music, where intimate expression and vibrant dialogue meet across centuries, featuring music by Brahms, Mendelssohn, Debussy, Meyer and Montgomery.
From the Music Room
July 2, 6pm • Mai House
This concert evokes the feeling of opening the door to a well-loved music room — a place where past experiences linger in the air and each sound recalls a story. The evening features the addition of clarinet and composers including Mozart, Brahms and Tchaikovsky.
Braided Traditions
July 5, 3pm • Mai House
“Braided Traditions – A Festival of Cultural Roots” is a celebration of heritage, identity, and the powerful ways music carries history forward. Music of Brahms and Dvořák featured alongside the unmistakable sound of Aaron Copland, whose music captures the identity of the American landscape.
