12 Feb Town of Mountain Village and TMVOA: Emergency Grant Program!
Town of Mountain Village and TMVOA launch emergency grant program for businesses impacted by ski resort shutdown.
The full program guidelines and electronic application packet are available online at townofmountainvillage.com/steady.

The Mountain Village Short-Term Economic Assistance for Disrupted Years (STEADY) Grant Program opened for applications this week and will accept submissions through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 22. Award determinations will be made on or before Friday, March 6, and funds will be distributed on or before Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Award amounts are anticipated to be in the low five figures.
“The program is designed to help stabilize core Mountain Village businesses, prevent permanent closures, retain local employment and support economic recovery in the wake of extraordinary economic disruption beyond business owners’ control, “said Mountain Village Economic Development Director J.D. Wise. “The initiative is not intended to replace long-term business support programs or subsidize normal operating risk, but rather to serve as a short-term bridge for viable businesses facing demonstrable economic harm”.
Eligible applicants include for-profit, independently owned brick-and-mortar businesses physically located in Mountain Village and in good standing with the Town of Mountain Village and the State of Colorado. Grant funds may be used for short-term stabilization expenses such as payroll, commercial rent or lease obligations, utilities, and essential fixed costs.
Award amounts may tiered and capped based on demonstrated economic harm and business size, and will be proportionate to documented revenue loss and risk of failure. Applications will be reviewed using objective, pre-established criteria by a Business Stabilization Grant Committee comprised of two Town of Mountain Village Town Council members, one Town staff member and two TMVOA representatives.
“Our businesses have taken a massive hit. This grant program reflects the Town and TMVOA’s shared commitment to crisis relief. We can’t replace all the revenue lost, but we know this support matters,” said TMVOA Chief Operating Officer Patrick Latcham.
Eligible businesses are encouraged to review the guidelines and apply before the February 22 deadline.
