Birds of Play are a beloved Americana Roots quartet based in the San Juan Mountains of Southwestern Colorado, known for their dynamic blend of folk, bluegrass, and acoustic storytelling.

Drawing inspiration from the landscape and community that shape their sound, the band’s musicianship and songwriting feature intricate arrangements, heartfelt lyrics, and rich harmonies that resonate with listeners on themes of connection, love, and place.

Comprising multi‑instrumentalists Alex Paul (guitar, upright bass, mandolin, vocals); Eric Shedd (upright bass, mandolin, guitar, vocals); Anneke Dean (violin, guitar, vocals); and Jack Tolan (guitar, mandolin, electric bass, vocals), Birds of Play’s live shows are celebrated for their intimacy, joy, and engaging musical storytelling.

Don’t miss this uplifting night of roots‑inspired music from one of Colorado’s most creative and heartfelt bands.
