The Cooldown Collective Happy Hour at Coffee Cowboy

Are you someone who cares deeply about protecting our mountain landscapes? Do you have ideas about what you want to see happen in our community? Do you wish you had more stats, facts and resources in your back pocket when talking about climate change with your peers? Looking for concrete action steps you can take right now in your community?
EcoAction Partners & Sheep Mountain Alliance are hosting a happy hour at the Coffee Cowboy with warm drinks and apps provided Thursday, February 12th from 5-6 PM. Join us in introducing a brand new community initiative: The Cool Down Collective.
5-5:15 PM- Mingle and gather. First 15 drinks are on us so arrive early! Light apps will be provided as well.
5:15-5:30 PM- Information on the current state of our local climate (snowpack, emissions, etc.).
5:30-6 PM- Introduction to cool down collective, discussion, and direct action items.
Sustainable Local Careers- a job fair of sorts

Have you lost your job? Looking for reliable, year-round employment? Thinking about a career change?
Join the Telluride Foundation and EcoAction Partners for a community job fair featuring employers like Tri-County Health Network, the Telluride School District, San Miguel County, local contractors, and additional local employers.
Learn about open positions, career pathways, and opportunities to build long-term stability right here in our community. Join us on February 13th at the Wilkinson Public Library Program Room. Doors open at 4:30PM for pizza; career fair starts at 5:00 PM.

Coffee & Climate Conversations- Snow Problem: Current state of the snowpack and what this means for our watershed

Join EcoAction Partners, Sheep Mountain Alliance, and the Wilkinson Public Library with special guest from the San Miguel Watershed Coalition for a timely discussion on our current state of the snowpack in our region and what this means for our local watershed.
Engage in a conversation about what we can do to adapt to this reality and how we can prepare for warmer months ahead.
As always, coffee, tea and pastries kindly provided. We hope to see you in the Wilkinson Public Library Magazine room Thursday, February 26th from 8:30-9:30 AM.
