Town of Telluride: Parking Payment, Change Announced!

The Town of Telluride is preparing to transition its mobile parking payment provider from T2 to ParkMobile over the coming weeks. The update is designed to streamline the parking experience for residents, employees, and visitors while giving Town staff improved tools to monitor system performance and parking activity.

Over the next few months, crews will replace all existing T2 mobile payment signs around Town
with new ParkMobile signage. As these signs go up, ParkMobile will become the primary platform for mobile parking payments made by text, call, website, or app.

The platform also offers Spanish-language support, including Spanish translation when calling the ParkMobile help line, helping make parking more accessible for a broader range of users.

Physical parking meters will remain in place and will continue to operate normally. The shift to
ParkMobile does not change meter functionality. Instead, it adds a more convenient mobile option.

Through ParkMobile, users will be able to activate the free 30-minute parking period remotely, pay or extend sessions from their phone, and receive clearer notifications about their parking status.

The new system will also provide the Town with improved data and reporting capabilities, giving
staff better insight into parking patterns, user behavior, and overall system performance. Staff will continue to share updates as signage installation progresses and additional ParkMobile features go live.

Beginning December 1, the Town will also begin deploying its new License Plate Reader (LPR) system to support consistent enforcement of existing parking regulations throughout Telluride.
The technology will help enforcement staff verify parking sessions more efficiently and
accurately, modernizing the way parking compliance is monitored. With this technology, tickets
issued through LPR will be mailed directly to the address to which the vehicle in violation is
registered.
