Telluride’s Sheridan Arts Foundation is thrilled to present The War and Treaty live in concert at the historic Sheridan Opera House. The duo has quickly become one of the most electrifying acts in American music, earning multiple GRAMMY®, CMA, ACM, and Americana Music Award nominations and wins.

Show takes place Saturday, November 15, 2025. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; concert begins at 8:30 p.m.

Founded in 2014 by the husband-and-wife duo Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, The War And Treaty has emerged as one of the most electrifying new acts in American music.

The duo was  nominated for the Best New Artist and Best American Roots Song at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, and have also been nominated for Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards two years in a row and for Vocal Duo of the Year at the ACM Awards.

They have won two Americana Music Awards (both for Duo/Group of the Year) and have received additional nominations and recognition from CMT Music Awards, Folk Alliance International, People’s Choice Country Awards, as well as from the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the Grand Ole Opry.

Thunderstorm Artis is a soulful singer-songwriter who finished in the Top 5 on American Idol. Known for his heartfelt lyrics and magnetic voice, Thunderstorm blends folk and pop to tell deeply personal stories that resonate with fans worldwide. His latest release, “I Just Want You to Know,” continues his mission to make music that heals, connects, and inspires.

The Sheridan Arts Foundation was founded in 1991 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization to preserve the historic Sheridan Opera House as an arts and cultural resource for the Telluride community, to bring quality arts and cultural events to Telluride and to provide local and national youth with access and exposure to the arts through education.

The Sheridan Arts Foundation is sponsored in part by grants from the CCAASE, Colorado Creative Industries, the Town of Mountain Village, Just for Kids Foundation and Telluride Foundation.
