Telluride Arts is proud to announce the launch of its Arts & Humanities Teacher Grants, a new program supported by generous CCAASE funding and designed to support K–12 educators who inspire creativity, critical thinking, and cultural engagement in the classroom. With a total of $11,330 in funding, the grants celebrate teachers who bring imagination, human connection, and the arts into San Miguel County schools. The application is fully available in Spanish.

These grants provide direct support for innovative projects across visual and performing arts, literature, history, philosophy, and other humanities disciplines. Teachers may use the funds to enhance classroom experiences with new materials, guest speakers, field trips, or creative programming. All funded projects will culminate in a public presentation in Telluride, sharing student work and classroom creativity with the broader community.

Applications opened September 15, 2025, and must be submitted through CAFÉ (Call for Entry) by October 12, 2025. Grants are divided evenly into Arts and Humanities categories, each offering one major award of $2,665 and three honorable mentions of $1,000 each. A jury of community members and arts professionals will select recipients based on creativity, student impact, feasibility, and alignment with arts and humanities values.

“I recognize that education is a fundamental pillar of our society, and that’s exactly why I’m so proud of these grants. They truly help us foster inclusion and growth in the arts and humanities.” said Melannie Tavano, Community & Arts Coordinator for Telluride Arts. “As a Latina member, I’m proud to be part of breaking language barriers and making our space even more welcoming for everyone.”

“Through these grants, Telluride Arts furthers its mission to nurture a vibrant, inclusive creative community,” said Jessica Galbo, Executive Director.
