Kevin Dougla. Operations Manager; Ryan Heidenreich, new Executive Director

Heidenreich joins the Telluride Theatre staff after six years as Food and Beverage Manager of the New Sheridan Chop House. Ryan has been on stage with Telluride Theatre in numerous productions (SUSAN & KEVIN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY, YACHT ROCKIN’, PREP SCHOOL MUSICAL) and has an extensive managerial, business and theatre background.

“Our Executive Director search had incredible candidates from around the country, but with Ryan’s passion for theatre & Telluride, coupled with his professionalism and work ethic… we knew he was the right person to take on this role. He is a true leader, and we are so grateful to have him on the team,” states Sasha.

Ryan will be leading the company and staff, as well as fundraising. He brings creativity and management skills to the position and plans on enhancing Telluride Theatre by identifying and pursuing new options.

“I have always wanted to work in the performing arts and feel blessed to have this opportunity to work with what is already a stellar company. Theatre is my true passion in life and with my management and leadership experience I hope to bring new ideas and consistency to everything we do. Work is now fun!”

Kevin Douglas hails from Denver, CO where he co-founded an award-winning theatre company, Two Cent Lion. His new role of Operations Manager brings him to Telluride as a full-time resident, and he has been immersing himself in the community and all it has to offer.

“When we interviewed Kevin it just clicked: his passion for theatre, organization, and his dream of moving to Telluride… it all just made sense,” Sasha said. “Telluride Theatre is dedicated to building community, and Kevin fits right into that.”

“I’ve visited Telluride to camp, and I’ve worked for Film Fest – but I never thought I’d have the opportunity to live here year-round… let alone working my dream job!” Kevin exclaimed. “As soon as I discovered Telluride Theatre, I knew their mission and community were a perfect fit for me. I moved out here as quickly as I could – from the interview to the move, I think I packed up my life in less than two months.”

You can see Kevin on the stage this summer as Proteus in Telluride Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park production of THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA.

Telluride Theatre produces year-round theatrical entertainment. A community-driven non-profit, its mission is to bring people together and create spaces for connection, thought, and fun. As an educational theatre, Telluride Theatre welcomes anyone and everyone on their stage and in their audience.
