Strategic Planning serves as the compass that keeps organizations steadfast on their course. In an effort to support sustainable and successful nonprofits in the region, the Telluride Foundation is hosting a “Strategic Planning” workshop. The workshop, taught by Dr. Michela Perrone, will be held at Telluride’s Wilkinson Public Library Program Room,m as well as via Zoom, on March 26 from Noon – 2:00 p.m.
This free event, taught over the lunch hour, is open to anyone wanting an overview of strategic plan development for their organization. Strategic Planning is a crucial part of clarifying an organization’s future priorities, strengthening its capacity, increasing its financial resources, and more successfully engaging its boards and staff members. Participants will gain practical tools, resources, and examples to guide their next strategic planning process, and Perrone will break down the basics of strategic planning into easy-to-follow steps and clear roles and responsibilities.
According to Dr.Perrone:
“An effective strategic planning process gives organizations a solid anchor upon which to base expectations for the future, as well as clear goals and outcomes. We all need to have a vision of success and strategic goals to guide us to our vision. A
good strategic plan is essential to program success and staff satisfaction. I know thisworkshop will support participants’ efforts and increase organizational effectiveness at all levels. ”
