Hailing from the North Carolina countryside—affectionately referred to as “The Middle of Nowhere,” on their debut album Big Something has emerged as one of the most exciting and unique rock bands in the Southeast.
The six-piece ensemble delivers an electrifying blend of improvisational alternative rock infused with elements of funk, reggae, jazz, electronica, heavy metal, and more. With soaring guitars, electronic wind instrument (E.W.I.), synths, horns, and powerful vocals, their signature sound takes audiences on a high-energy musical journey.
For over a decade, Big Something has captivated fans with their dynamic performances and expansive catalog of seven full-length studio albums, including Stories from the Middle of Nowhere (2010); Big Something (2013); Truth Serum (2014); Tumbleweed (2017); The Otherside (2018); and Escape (2020). Their hit songs “Song For Us” and “Love Generator” have amassed millions of Spotify streams, and their presence at major festivals –Sweetwater 420 Fest, Lock’n, Electric Forest, Peach Music Festival, Summer Camp, and High Sierra – has cemented their reputation as luminaries in the progressive improvisational rock scene. Additionally, their own festival, The Big What?, has been running strong for over a decade.
Sheridan Arts Foundation:

Proposed new entry to historic Sheridan Opera House
The Sheridan Arts Foundation was founded in 1991 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization to preserve the historic Sheridan Opera House as an arts and cultural resource for the Telluride community; to bring quality arts and cultural events to Telluride; and to provide local and national youth with access and exposure to the arts through education.
The Sheridan Arts Foundation is sponsored in part by grants from the CCAASE, Colorado Creative Industries, the Town of Mountain Village, Just for Kids Foundation and Telluride Foundation.
