Sheridan Arts Foundation: Holiday Concert Series Announced! Tickets Now!

Telluride’s Sheridan Arts Foundation (SAF) announces its lineup for the annual Holiday Concerts, including New Year’s Eve.  

Series kicks off the entertainment with holiday-themed burlesque followed by five nights of music from some of Telluride’s favorite artists!

Tickets and additional event information are available at sheridanoperahouse.com or 970.728.6363 x4. An additional $5 ticketing fee is charged at all sales outlets for each ticket.

To become a Holiday Patron, please RSVP to Ronnie Palamar at Ronnie@sheridanoperahouse.com to guarantee prime seating. The Sheridan Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. The patron s package is valued at $1,500, and the contribution is tax-deductible. Package can be used towards all ’25 winter SOH programming and is flexible based on availability.

Since its founding as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1991, the SAF has been dedicated to preserving the historic Sheridan Opera House, delivering top-quality entertainment to the Telluride community, and providing educational programs for regional and national youth. Staying true to this mission, the Holiday Concert Series has become an annual tradition, bringing diverse entertainment that culminates in an exciting New Year’s Eve celebration.

Thursday, Dec. 26, the Holiday Concert Series kicks off with a Telluride Theatre collaboration of “Tease the Season,” holiday burlesque. The show starts at 8 p.m.; doors at 7 p.m. Enjoy a special night of classic burlesque, live music, comedy and so much more. “The House of Shimmy Shake” is Telluride’s very own professional burlesque troupe that brings its own special take on the holidays. Tickets are $45-$55 and all reserved seats.

Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 Black Pistol Fire brings the energy. Doors open at 8 p.m.; the show begins at 9 p.m.

The Austin rock group Black Pistol Fire is back with its sixth full-length album, Look Alive, out now on Black Hill Records. Fueled by the first single and title track, “Look Alive, ” the new album debuted at #2 on the Alternative Albums chart in the US and at #5 on the Alternative Albums chart in Canada.

A far-reaching sonic landscape, venturing out beyond traditional rock touchstones, ‘Look Alive’ finds the acclaimed group refining its singular two-man approach, outfitting explosive, impassioned rock ‘n’ roll with an expansive, ethereal, and cinematic soundscape.

For Look Alive, Black Pistol Fire – Kevin McKeown (guitarist/lead vocalist/songwriter) and Eric Owen (drums/bass synth) – teamed with co-producer and engineer Jacob Sciba (Gary Clark Jr., Gov’t Mule, Warren Haynes) and mixer Vance Powell (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, Chris Stapleton).

Look Alive delivers Black Pistol Fire’s renowned fusion of southern rock, blues, and garage punk through wildly diverse and standout songs – among them the raucous title track “Look Alive,” the psych-laced “Level,” an R&B-inflected “Temper Temper” and “Never Enough.” Tickets, $60-$75.

AbbaFab takes the stage for the third night of the series, Saturday, Dec. 28, 9 p.m.; doors, 8 p.m.

Having played to sold-out crowds across the U.S. and abroad, AbbaFab is a stunning tribute to the music of ABBA featuring the sensational talents of some of TAD’s most talented and loved artists and musicians!

This multimedia production is a tribute to some of the greatest music produced in the 70s and 80s, including monster hits such as “Waterloo,” “Fernando,” “Honey Honey,” “Dancing Queen” and countless others.

From ABBA’s earliest hits to “Mamma Mia,” AbbaFabB will take you on an unmatched technicolor journey. Vocalists and musicians have toured the world as solo artists and band members and have come together to create the most entertaining ABBA tribute on the market today!

ABBA’s record-breaking string of hits has stood the test of time and continues to thrill audiences of all ages. With vocals and musicianship, the group are second to none. The AbbaFab vibe is infectious!

Cool Cool Cool brings the funk to Telluride Sunday, Dec. 29. Doors at 8 p.m with a DJ set by CASTLE promptly at 8:30 pm.

Cool Cool Cool blends the best of funk, house, and r&b to create a truly unique sound. With dynamic female-led vocals, a tight horn section, swirling synths, and a rhythm section that lays down wicked grooves, this band knows how to deliver an electrifying performance. When you see Cool Cool Cool in person, you’ll be swept up by the energy of their music and unforgettable live show.

After spending more than a decade traveling the world together with the touring act Turkuaz, in 2022 the members of Cool Cool Cool decided to team up and form their own band. Their shared experiences, from playing dive bars to international festival stages, helped them develop a close bond that goes far beyond music. In Cool Cool Cool, that bond translates into a powerful synergy that allows each band member to showcase his or her individual talent, creativity, and passion.

Cool Cool Cool has toured the U.S. in 2024 both as a headlining act, as well as the supporting band for Talking Heads members Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew (David Bowie, King Crimson) on their “Remain Light” Tour. Tickets, $25-$35.

The 2024 Holiday Concert Series comes to a close with the New Year’s Eve Velour & Vinyl Gala with The Marsels. This year, dance to the timeless hits of The Marsels! Also enjoy a champagne toast, live music, and an energetic dance floor!

The Marsels are one of Boston’s premier bands, specializing in creating unforgettable party, dance, and entertainment experiences. Whether you’re up on your feet dancing or tapping your toes in your seat, their sound is sure to get you moving.

With a versatile repertoire spanning multiple genres and generations, from classic rock to soulful tunes, The Marsels bring music from the ’60s to today. Their legacy is rich and amicable, having played for numerous events across the globe, from Super Bowl parties in New Orleans to corporate functions across the USA and Europe.

Over the years, the outfit has opened for legendary artists like The Four Tops, Tina Turner, Little Big Town, and Smokey Robinson, among others. While their resume is impressive, their main goal is simple: To make everyone dance. So, if you ever get the chance, enjoy the ride with The Marsels!

Tickets are $125 GA standing room on the main floor which includes a balloon drop at midnight, NYE party favors, nibbles and a glass of champagne to toast. Balcony tickets are $300-$500 which include a reserved seat, light fare and an open bar all night. Doors open at 9 p.m. The Marsels begin their show at 10:30 p.m. and play through midnight.
