10 Sep Telluride Chamber Music: Ivalas Quartet, Sheridan Opera House, 9/21!
Since professional flutist (and ski instructor) Claire Beard took over the management of the Telluride Chamber Music, her brilliant remix has revived one of Telluride’s original cultural anchors, dating back to 1974.
Claire devised a series of Chamber Music Happy Hours. Next up: Tuesday, September 24, 6 p.m. a concert featuring Claire, Anneke Dean Travis Fisher and Steve White at Telluride Arts HQ. Program includes Bach, Faure, Brahms, Martinu and Rota in an intimate series. The perfect end to a day in the mountains!
Chamber’s off-season special, October 24, 7 p.m., The Alibi, is titled “Project Trio,” a genre-bending virtuosic group given their unique fusion of classical, jazz, hip-hop, and world-music influences. Tickets, $25.
The next Big Event features the ground-breaking Ivalas Quartet, a group that has been changing the face of classical music since its inception in 2017. Their performance takes place at Telluride’s historic Sheridan Opera House on September 21, 7 p.m. Tickets here.
