Telluride Town Council announces 4 finalists for role of Town Manager.

The Telluride Town Council has narrowed its search for a new Town Manager to four finalists. Listed alphabetically by last name, the finalists are:
Chris Castilian
Mr. Castilian is a resident of Denver, Colorado, and currently serves as a senior executive director and faculty member at the University of Denver.
Castilian has over 25 years of experience leading public, private, and nonprofit organizations, as well as project management, strategic planning, and staff development, with a background in policy advancement and building successful teams.
Castilian holds a B.A. in Political Science from California Lutheran University, a J.D. from the University of Denver, and a certificate of Senior Executives in State and Local Government from Harvard University.
Silas Clarke
Mr. Clarke is a resident of Ouray, Colorado, and serves as the Ouray City Administrator.
Clarke is a seasoned city administrator with extensive experience in budgeting, financial management, large-scale project management, and community relations, currently overseeing 106 employees and a $38.3 million budget.
Clarke holds a B.S. in Political Science and an M.A. in Public Administration with a specialization in local government, both from the University of Nebraska.
Zoe Dohnal
Ms. Dohnal is a resident of Telluride, Colorado, with extensive experience in municipal governance, currently serving as Acting Town Manager for the Town of Telluride.
Having joined the Town as Deputy Town Manager in November 2022, she leads strategic planning, project management, and community engagement efforts, building on her previous role as Director of Operations and Development in Mountain Village.
Ms. Dohnal holds a B.A. in Economics and Marketing from Butler University and an M.A. in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
Craig Howard
Mr. Howard is currently a resident of Rockville, Maryland, serving as the Deputy Director of the Montgomery County Council, overseeing significant budget and policy areas.
With 21 years of experience working for the County Council, Howard is an accomplished government professional with experience in leadership, budget management, policy analysis, and program evaluation.
Howard holds a B.S. with Distinction in Environmental Policy and Behaviors from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Public Administration from Syracuse University.
All finalists will visit Telluride on Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
On Tuesday August 13th, finalists will tour Telluride and its facilities, interact with all Town department heads, and participate in a reception open to the public.
The public reception will be held at Sheridan SHOW Bar on Tuesday, August 13, from 5 to 6 pm.
Town Council will interview each finalist on Wednesday, August 14 in Executive Session.
