23 May Telluride Arts District: ED Departs Nonprofit!
Telluride Arts announced the departure of Kate Jones, Executive Director of the Telluride Arts District (TAD). Nonprofit arts executive Gene Sobczak – former Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities – has been appointed as the Interim Executive Director. With Sobczak, the TAD board of directors will continue leading the redevelopment of the Telluride Transfer Warehouse, as well as the organization’s upcoming season of programs and initiatives.
“Our work continues,” says Basit Mustafa, President of the TAD board of directors. “We are grateful to Kate for her vision and love of the arts, which brought the Telluride Arts District to where it is today. Our current staff and board have built a strong foundation for future growth. Our focus now is now on strengthening our team, growing our programs, improving operations, and remaining as one of the state’s most vibrant and vital creative arts districts.”
