Mountainfilm is thrilled to announce returning nonprofit partner, Woodwell Climate Research Center as well as a new addition, The Nature Conservancy. Together Woodwell and The Nature Conservancy will be co-nonprofit partners for the 2024 festival.
Mountainfilm is deeply grateful for both of these partnerships and look forward to integrating their programs as we work together to benefit the planet.
Woodwell Climate conducts science for solutions at the nexus of climate, people, and nature. For 40 years, their scientists have been pioneers in the climate conversation, from the first Congressional testimony on climate change to the first draft of the UN climate treaty and the first guidelines on corporate climate risk.
Woodwell works with communities and leaders around the globe to generate breakthrough scientific insights and develop just, scalable strategies for a healthy, equitable, and sustainable future.
The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a global conservation organization dedicated to conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends. Guided by science, TNC creates innovative, on-the-ground solutions to our world’s toughest challenges so that nature and people can thrive together.
TNC works collaboratively in more than 70 countries and territories, tackling climate change, conserving lands, waters and oceans at an unprecedented scale, providing food and water sustainably and helping make cities more sustainable.
The goal at Mountainfilm is to work collaboratively with these incredibly impactful organizations to inspire, educate and motivate our audience. These partnerships will advance important conversations that will lead all of us toward positive change for our planet.
That is a goal we share and our common vision is at the heart of these powerful relationships.
