The following is a note from EcoAction Partners inviting the Telluride community to join the nonprofit at three different February/March events.

Coffee Climate Conversations:

Remember EcoAction’s environmental happy hours from the summer? They are BACK!

A coffee and climate conversation series focuses on topics of intersectional environmentalism.

On February 15th from 8:30-9:30 join us at the Wilkinson Public Library for FREE coffee, tea, and pastries and conversation on the topic of land use, renewable energy, and unheard voices.

The events features Kitty Calhoun, professional mountain guide, alpinist and climate activist who will talk about her project involving fundraising to buy clean energy kits for Navajo households and an upcoming film project to be published mid-2024. The doc will be directed by the indigenous filmmaker Angelo Baca and features an all-Navajo cast.

EcoAction will also be discussing how this topic and theme is being experienced in our own backyards.

Green Incentives Workshop at the Telluride Library:

EcoAction will be hosting an informational incentives event at the library on February 21st starting at 5pm. Come to learn about tax credits and rebate incentives to invest in the latest green technologies.

“Scale of Hope” screening:

Join EcoAction on March 14th for a special screening of the film “The Scale of Hope.

Event includes free apps, refreshments, Patagonia giveaways and a chance to zoom in with special guest from the film Molly Kawahata!

With additional partnerships with other local environmental nonprofits, Wilkinson Public LIbrary, Patagonia Telluride, Telluride Mountain Club and TCHN, EcoAction presents this important doc about climate change, systematic hope, mental health, outdoor recreation and the intersection of it all.
