The following is an update from Gay Ski Week.

Get ready to make lifelong memories! Enjoy a week full of events, live music, parties and more with plenty of time to explore the world class terrain that Telluride Ski Resort has to offer.

Meet new friends while you explore some of the best ski terrain in North America at daily ski groups led by friendly, knowledgeable locals. Join us at throughout the week at Après-ski – the French word for the social hour “after-skiing”. Connect with others and cap off your day on the slopes at historic watering holes, local breweries and wine bars with incredible views. From extra hoppy IPAs to locally distilled peppermint schnapps, attendees can kick back and relax at the end of long days playing in the mountains!

We’ll kick off the week at the elegant Opening Reception at a new venue to be announced on Saturday, February 24. We’re also hosting a secondary welcome party for all the attendees who join us during the second half of the week at The Alibi – a cocktail lounge and club with the charm of a cozy mountain retreat. The venue features classic and deep disco cuts.

We’re proud to bring back the White Party – a signature event highly regarded as one of the best parties of the winter season, with some added flare for 2024. New for this year, the White Party expands to two venues with two DJ’s. Access to both shows will allow attendees to rotate between The Alibi and Sheridan Opera House in the heart of the downtown Telluride – both located within a block of each other. Pack your best outfits and come dressed head to toe in white!

The popular Burlesque and Drag Show returns featuring a rare collaboration between Telluride Theatre’s House of Shimmy Shake, performance dancers, drag queens and a pit crew of go-go dancers. These shows sold out last year and no wonder why. Friday’s show will be followed a a new After-Party, the Hoedown – a good ole barn burner for cowboys and cowgirls. Lasso your compadres, giddy up and serve your best western lewk.

As a nod the legendary European champagne DJ dance parties, we’re recreating the experience at Sweet Madness, the ski beach outside the French restaurant, Bon Vivant, at the top of chair lift 5. The event takes place Thursday, February 29. Reserve an early lunch and join us in the open area outside afterwards to dance your calories away.

New for 2024, on Friday, March 1. we’re hosting a Ski Parade from top of chair lift 7 down to Gorrono Ranch with an on-mountain DJ dance party. The vibrant colors of the Pride flag-bearing skiers and snowboarders will pop brilliantly against the snow as they fly rainbows down the mountain. The Ski Parade will create a visible, signature moment celebrating human rights to live openly and authentically.

TGSW wouldn’t be complete without the Gay Chalet – a cozy, rustic, ski-in-ski-out cabin at Gorrono Ranch for attendees to warm up next to a wood stove, meet new friends and recount your day from top to bottom.

TGSW ends the week with two midday brunches cleverly titled to honor an unforgettable line from a hit song by pop icon Britney Spears, “It’s Brunch, Bitch”. Located at the Mountain Lodge, this tongue-popping, fan-flicking, lip-syncing extravaganza will feature food and drinks prepared by Executive Chef Sergio Gonzalez with fabulous drag queens dressed in oversized wigs, sparkles, and six-inch heels while lip syncing to all the favorite pop diva songs.

Following the second brunch, the Mountain Lodge venue transitions into a Pool Party. This venue is new for 2024, offering both an indoor/outdoor space with a heated tent and a DJ.

The final day will close out at the Glitter Ball in epic fashion with music and go-go dancers at the historic Sheridan Opera House.

Let’s get sparkly!
