The holiday season is all about bringing family and friends together, in part to share festive meals. Whether it is a traditional feast or a simple gathering of your closest loved ones, food is often the star of the show. After all: “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” – Virginia Woolf.
On that note, below is some food for thought from Telluride’s Ahh Haa School for the Arts, a fabulous food mecca.

Need post-Christmas dinner reservations for a group of 10? Ah Haa is your place for special holiday gatherings with friends and family. Six dates are available for Chef’s Table Dinners this holiday season and they feature talented chefs and unique tasting menus.

And, in January, Michelin-star Chef Iliana Regan returns for four weeks during which time she will teach a series of 8 classes on Sundays and Mondays, as well as offer intimate, multi-course pop-up dinners in the Ah Haa kitchen on Fridays and Saturdays. Cook the Book: A Taste of Puerto Rico with Krista Montalvo
Check out this new series of classes where a guest instructor teaches 2-3 recipes from a favorite cookbook. This is a great way to learn improvisation skills and practice more specialized cooking techniques.
Sunday, 12/17, 4-5:30 p.m.
Family Time Gingerbread Cookies with Bobbi T. Smith
Jump into some quality holiday family time with a gingerbread cookie decorating class. There’s also a kids-only afterschool gingerbread class on 12/14.
Friday, 12/22, 6-8 p.m.
Date Night: Raclette & Buckel Wines
Bring your appetite, gather some friends (or come solo) and learn first-hand why Western Colorado has become a wine enthusiast’s destination. Buckel wines are a delicious accompaniment to tangy, gooey raclette!
