Dear Mountainfilm Community,
I hope this message finds you well. It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform you of a significant transition within our Mountainfilm family. After six remarkable festivals, Suzan Beraza, our dedicated Festival Director, will be embarking on a new chapter of her life, relocating to Georgia to be closer to her family.
Suzan assumed the role of Festival Director in 2017 and, throughout her tenure, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our mission and a profound love for Mountainfilm. Her leadership and expertise as a filmmaker were instrumental in propelling Mountainfilm to new heights of success. Suzan’s impact on our organization is immeasurable, as she not only elevated the festival itself, but also secured funding for our awards, fostered invaluable industry connections, and took our support for filmmakers to unprecedented levels.
For those fortunate enough to know Suzan personally, you are well aware of her intelligence, kindness, and unwavering compassion. We are pleased to share that Suzan will continue to be a part of the Mountainfilm family through the 2024 festival as we diligently search for her successor.
