26 Sep Telluride Arts/Stronghouse Pub: Oktoberfest & Inaugural 5K Beer Fun Run, 10/71!
Celebrate the end of the season with Telluride Arts and Stronghouse Brew Pub with a classic Oktoberfest and a 5K Beer Fun Run. The inaugural event takes place Saturday, October 7th, 2-7pm in partnership with local and regional breweries.
Presenters are looking for volunteers for security, food and beverage, setup and breakdown, also fun run course marshalls! Volunteers will get free entry and their first beer free! Sign up online at telluridearts.org/oktoberfest-signup. For more information contact Telluride Arts at 970-728-3930 or info@telluridearts.org.

Festivities kick off at 2pm with an Oktoberfest Beer Fun Run from Telluride Brewing Company in Lawson Hill to “The Bra” in Telluride Town Park, where more fun awaits! Lederhosen and dirndls are strongly encouraged!
The trail along the Valley Floor will be marked with ribbon. Participants are advised to use public transit to the starting line and meet 15 minutes in advance of the rope drop. The race is free! Sign up for the Beer Run online here!
Following the race, the Telluride Town Park “Bra” and “Oval” will be bustling with a classic, family-friendly Oktoberfest event with beer by local and regional breweries, German fare and games from 2-7pm.
Entrance is $10 and includes a beer stein! Live music will be performed by Telluride’s very own German Polka Band lead by Tuck Gillett and singer Bärbel Hacke.
Entertainment by Homestead Circus Productions will include stilt-walkers and a living and levitated bronze statue. Kids will be able to create, wear, and eat their very own pretzel necklaces! Games and contests will occur every hour, including a sausage toss, stein holding, relay races, and more! Merch and gift card prizes will be up for grabs!
Telluride Arts and Stronghouse Brew Pub’s Oktoberfest is a new Telluride tradition since 2021. Having hosted two successful events at the Transfer Warehouse, this iteration is moving to the Town Park “Bra” and “Oval” while construction gets underway at the Warehouse.
