Telluride Yoga Festival Celebrates 15th Annual Festival, 6/22 – 6/25!

The longest-running yoga festival in the nation, the Telluride Yoga Festival is celebrating its 15th annual festival, June 22-25, 2023, in and around the campus in Mountain Village, Colorado.

The event will feature special guest Jewel; new culinary workshops; community free yoga in Elk’s Park; a cacao ceremony; expanded outdoor offerings; and more.

Passes are still available. To purchase tickets or to learn more about the Yoga Festival, the lineup, and more, visit www.tellurideyogafesival.com.

The Telluride Yoga Festival features over 40 presenters including world-renowned teachers such as Faith Hunter, Sianna Sherman, Amy Ippoliti, Tommy Rosen, Kia Miller, Donny Starkins, Koya Webb, Gina Caputo and special guest, Jewel.

Thursday offers a deeper dive into practices with some featured presenters along with several day-long outdoor offerings: a Sneffel’s Highline hike; a canopy tour; and biking the Galloping Goose. Regular classes run Friday through Sunday. The festival has several indoor tented and outdoor venues conveniently located throughout the Mountain Village and at the top of the gondola.

The Telluride Yoga Festival offers a unique opportunity to be in community with like-minded people, with a focus on health, wellness, and spirit in a spectacular setting over an entire weekend.

“I like to think of it as a great way to unplug and reset. Telluride Yoga is like a retreat where attendees leave feeling increased gratitude, joy and connection,” says Festival Director and Co-Owner, Erika Henschel. “I feel it is the role of a festival to offer a smorgasbord of unique teachers who complement one another and offer different approaches to practice to provide a range of health and healing experiences. With over 140 classes and events, this is truly a ‘choose-your-own- path event which is part of the fun and a great way to be introduced to new styles and instructors.”

The Telluride Yoga Festival celebrates its anniversary with a concert for pass-holders at the Telluride Conference Center on Saturday evening at 8 pm. The event features Sean Johnson & the Wild Lotus Band, a New Orleans based group who has been on Putumayo World Music and the first mantra-based artist to play New Orleans Jazz Festival.

“Fifteen years is something to celebrate,” says Co-Owner, Albert Roer. “Over the 10 years since Erika and I have been at the helm, we’ve seen the festival grow from 250 attendees to over 1,000. We’ve watched festivals in our own town and yoga festivals across the nation come and go, and have shape-shifted as needed through pandemics, weekend dates, campus locations, and more.”

New this year, the festival will be offering several culinary workshops including a vegan cheese making class.

“It feels very purposeful to have these offerings as part of the festival since it points to lifestyle choices that support the inner process of yoga,” says Gina Caputo, who will be leading a “One Bowl Wonder” culinary class.

For those without a pass, Telluride Yoga is adding free community yoga classes in Elk’s Park throughout the weekend, including a yoga class taught in both Spanish and English by local teacher Lauren Norton.
