Dollar night started at the suggestion of late board member Adam Max who wanted to ensure that the Sheridan Opera House is available for all community members to enjoy no matter their income level. The Sheridan Arts Foundation plans one-to-two-dollar nights a year. Joint Point returns for their second dollar night on the last Friday of the winter season after a sold-out show in 2022.

Joint Point is an American jam band from Colorado. The group formed in Telluride when founding members Jeff Haldeman (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Stuart Sundel-Norlin (electric guitar, vocals) discovered they shared musical interests. Their sound takes inspiration from a mix of styles, genres and influences. From the beginning Joint Point has played interesting covers, songs by popular jam bands, and rock-solid originals. Some of their new material feature the talents of drummer Casey Yorkunas, bassist Joel Waller, and recent addition Paul Cooper on keyboards, all who bring a high level of musicianship.

Sheridan Arts Foundation:

The Sheridan Arts Foundation was founded in 1991 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to preserve the historic Sheridan Opera House as an arts and cultural resource for the Telluride community, to bring quality arts and cultural events to Telluride and to provide local and national youth with access and exposure to the arts through education. The Sheridan Arts Foundation is sponsored in part by grants from the CCAASE, Colorado Creative Industries and an American Rescue Plan Act grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to support general operating expenses in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
