Telluride Adaptive Sports Program: “The Blue Party,” Celebration & Fundraiser, 3/10!

On Friday, March 10, 2023, the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program (TASP) hosts its 27th annual spring fundraiser concert— “The Blue Party.” The event features Soul Grass band Buffalo Commons and takes place at the Telluride Conference Center in Mountain Village, 7-10pm.

Tickets are available at the door or online via this link.

And please scroll down for a taste of Buffalo Commons.

Since 2017, Buffalo Commons, a Steamboat Springs, CO-grown project, has been moving souls and feet. The band’s harmonizing vocals and tight musicianship has slingshot them into the Colorado Music scene with huge, infectious energy and an incredibly loyal and fun-loving “Herd” of fans behind them.

You can’t help being captivated by singer/songwriter and guitarist Tyree Woods‘ soulful and powerful voice; Denton Turner’s energetic upright bass; Eric Baker on mandolin; Randy Kelley on fiddle; Dan Harris on banjo; and Tyler Cain on drums. Collectively they provide a full-bodied sound that matches the emotion and intensity of Tyree’s vocals.

Be sure to come ready to dance! There will be a cash bar and photo booth.

In honor of the amazing volunteers, instructors, veterans, and athletes, TASP is throwing this “Blue Tie” event: dress up in your favorite blues, just as TASP instructors wear their best blues on the slopes.

A scholarship auction takes place between sets when the funds raised will provide life-changing adaptive Winter and Summer programs for regional individuals with disabilities, as well as specialized adaptive equipment and highly trained instructors to teach year-round lessons.

An online auction will launch later in March to help support those efforts.
