10 Mar Friends of the Library: Update!
The 2023 Friends of the Library (FOL) membership form is ready and the new membership cards are back from the printer. It’s a good time to join. Download and print the application or pick up a copy at the library. Leave a check or cash with a librarian or mail it back and FOL president Nancy Landau will send your membership card/s to you. (Or she can can leave it/them for you at the library if you prefer).

FOL welcomes these nine new businesses participating this year: Bruno Coffee Shop, Caravan Middle Eastern Food, Kazahana Sushi, Telluride Chamber Music Association, Telluride Music Co, The Cornerhouse Grille and Uno Dos Tres Tacos & Tequila.
FOL is a member-supported, non-profit organization. Membership dues and donations are used to fill requests for funds from library staff.
FOL’s gifts to the community through Telluride’s Wilkinson Public Library include:
a) One Book/One Canyon – free books for local readers + author appearances. (For 2023: “Breathless” by David Quammen. on March 16 for his presentation at the library.)
b) StoryWalk on the River Trail
c) Self-checkout machine
d) 10 “Townie” bicycles
e) Mobile kitchen cart for cooking classes
f) “Read With Hart” Little Free Library (beside the M&M Mercantile in Placerville). “Take a Book, Leave a Book” anytime.
NOTE: We continue to sell books from the lobby shelves by the elevator and are keeping them well-stocked with a wide variety of titles. Have a look and take some home! There’s a red box on the side of the bookshelf for donations.
