Sheridan Opera House: Winter Lineup, Update!

Proposed new entry to historic Sheridan Opera House

Sheridan Opera House: Winter Lineup, Update!

Telluride’s Sheridan Arts Foundation (SAF) announces its winter lineup for events through April. Tickets are now on sale for these events. All tickets are sold through www.SheridanOperaHouse.com.

Included in the lineup announcement is the Holiday Concert Series, the largest fundraiser of the year for the Sheridan Arts Foundation, the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that owns and operates the historic Sheridan Opera House. Each year, the SAF programs concerts and events for the week after Christmas ending the best party in Telluride, the New Year’s Eve Gala. Visitors and locals are invited to countdown the new year with a world-class live concert, a free glass of champagne and party favors.

Since Telluride is getting covered in snow right this moment, the Sheridan Arts Foundation thought it would announce two more ski films screening at the Sheridan Opera House, this year from ski and snowboard film giants Warren Miller and Teton Gravity Research.

Both films have special kids prices for the 5:30 p.m. screenings. Ski films at the opera house are a great family activity and a no-fail way to get excited for the ski season! Tickets are on sale now.

Warren Miller’s Daymaker screens Friday, November 25, at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Co-sponsor BootDoctors will do giveaways at both screenings. Dig into some Thanksgiving leftovers then come on over to the Sheridan Opera House for Warren Miller Entertainment’s 73rd film.

TICKETS FOR WARRNE MILLER.

Cosponsored by Black Tie Skis, Teton Gravity Research’s Magic Hour screens Thursday, December 8, at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The crew at Black Tie will be doing giveaways at both screenings.

This year’s New Year’s Eve theme is the Galaxy Gala with Yonder Mountain String Band. Last year’s Holiday Concert Series was cancelled on Christmas Eve due to the spike of omicron COVID cases in town. Grammy-nominee Jewel (Dec. 28), Denver Latin indie rock band Kiltro (Dec. 27) and Yonder Mountain String Band (Dec. 30 and 31) were all scheduled to perform and are returning this year.

Ticket purchasers from last year’s show were emailed separately with a code to purchase in advance before the public. Murder! At the Sheridan Opera House, a mystery theater event, will kick off the week with less than 100 tickets available for this new fun way to experience the opera house on Dec. 26.

The PettyBreakers bring back the spirit of the legendary Tom Petty on Dec. 29.

Patrons can support the Sheridan Arts Foundation by becoming a Holiday Patron for a donation of $8,500. The package is valued at $1,500 and tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. Patrons are invited to an exclusive cocktail party on December 26 and receive two VIP tickets to each Holiday Concert plus a table for four to New Year’s Eve with an open bar. Patrons can call Ronnie at 970.728.6363 ext. 1 to become a patron and get their exclusive tickets.
