“I am very excited to participate in and attend Original Thinkers this year. I would say that now, more than any other time in my life we have needed leaders who think critically, think deeply and ultimately, think originally. I hope to leave inspired and energized to keep making good in the world.
“Where do we go from here? After the whirlwind of the last few years, I think this is the question on all of our minds. How do we hope? How do we imagine? How do we create what is next? These are the conversations I hope to have at Original Thinkers,” presenter Britt Baron.
David Holbrooke is a filmmaker and cultural entrepreneur who started the Original Thinkers Festival in Telluride in 2018.
This year’s event features a robust array of brilliant speakers, memorable films, innovative artists and talented performers who take the stage at the historic Sheridan Opera House over four breathtaking autumn days when leaves are at their peak.
Holbrooke was Festival Director of Telluride Mountainfilm for a decade and his documentary, “The Diplomat,” about his father, Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, can be seen on HBO.
In the past David worked as a contributing editor at GQ and wrote for The Huffington Post and CNN.com.
While he long ago lost count of how many films he has watched over the last decade+, David still gets wildly excited by a well-told story.
Stories such as those scheduled to be told at OT.
