EcoAction Partners is hosting a Harvest Dinner Fundraiser on Thursday, September 8th. The evening includes a three-course meal and silent auction at Village Table in Mountain Village. Since 2007, EcoAction Partners has provided solutions to create sustainable mountain communities in the San Juan Mountain region.
Mission:
EcoAction Partners is a sustainability organization that tracks the regions greenhouse gas emissions and provides programs to reduce energy and waste.
The nonprofit currently run its initiatives throughout the greater San Miguel County and Ouray County region to accomplish greenhouse gas reduction, focusing primarily on energy and waste.
Staff and volunteers actively support sustainability in the greater Telluride community through programs such as our Green Business Certification Program, Truth or Dare Community Challenge, and Zero Waste Teams at festivals, regional events, and much more.
EcoAction Partners originated as The New Community Coalition in 2007 to implement sustainability efforts in San Miguel County. The 501(c)3 non-profit is funded by the Town of Telluride and San Miguel County.
Support has also come in the past and present years from the Telluride Foundation, Faraway Foundation, Mountain Village, Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association and San Miguel Power Association.
The name was changed to EcoAction Partners in Spring 2012 to emphasize the active role of the organization in the region on the forefront of sustainability initiatives.
