Dear friends of the Sheridan Arts Foundation,
Join us for two FREE performances of “Rapunzel’s Haircut,” a modern retelling of the classic fairytale, tomorrow, Friday, July 22 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the historic Sheridan Opera House!
Twenty-eight kids have put together this musical in just four short days as a part of our Young People’s Theater Summer Spectacular Camp. Doors open 15 minutes prior to each performance, no reservations or tickets needed. If you’re feeling generous, we’ll pass the hat at the end of each performance with all proceeds going to support the Young People’s Theater program.
Viewing the culmination of this camp (a musical in just four days!) is a great way to see the magic that is Young People’s Theater. If you are already a Young People’s Theater family, or considering having your child participate this year, be sure to mark your calendars for August 1 at 12 p.m. when registration opens for fall Adventures in Acting (kindergarten-2nd grade), Beauty and the Beast (6th-8th grade), Chicago (9th-12th grade) and Peter Pan (3rd-5th grade)! Learn more about the classes and how to register HERE.
Continuing our weekend of free events, we have Durango-based Americana rockers Desert Child performing for Happy Hour at the SHOW Bar Patio on Saturday, July 23, at 7 p.m. Enjoy delicious cocktails and talented musicians while viewing plein air paintings available for purchase from the 19th annual Telluride Plein Air.
