16 Mar Club Red: The Motet Returns with Special Guest Collin Miller, 3/19!
Named by Skiing Magazine as one of ski country’s best concert venues, Club Red brings a wide variety of crowd-pleasing entertainers to Telluride and Mountain Village. Given the fact the Telluride region has long been a hotbed for national touring acts, Club Red continues to add another chapter to that rich history. The intimate music venue inside the Telluride Conference Center in Mountain Village is family-friendly and allows guests to get up close and personal with the talent.
Shows are open to all ages, with a variety of ticket options ranging from general admission to high-table seating to preferred platform seating, and some VIP-ticketed experiences.
Denise Mongan of Beyond the Groove programs Club Red (with support from Telski, Telluride Mountain Village Owner’s Association, Mountain Village and The Peaks Resort & Spa). And she always nails it. Which means Club Red shows sell out quickly.
This month, Beyond the Groove Productions continues its winter concert series on Saturday, March 19 at Club Red with Colorado’s favorite funk band, The Motet. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; show time is 8:15 p.m. Tickets are priced at $30-$45 and can be purchased online at clubredtelluride.com and facebook.com/ClubRedTelluride.

Founded in Boulder in 1998 by drummer David Watts, The Motet has provided the up-tempo funk soundtrack for dance parties in Colorado for two decades and played hundreds of annual shows here and on the road.
The acclaimed core of the band is Watts, Joey Porter on keys, Garrett Sayers on bass, Drew Sayers on keys and saxophone, and Ryan Jalbert on guitar. They are often joined for live shows by horns, vocalists and other instrumentalists. With Watts driving the bus, the rhythm is locked in and — again — very funky.
The group is a staple on the national festival scene and have played its biggest stages in their time as road warriors — think Bonnaroo, Electric Forest and Bumbershoot to name but a few. And Red Rocks Amphitheater might as well be their home away from home.
Collin Miller, 22-year-old soulful singer/songwriter, and guitarist of Collin Miller & The Brother Nature, will bring his powerhouse vocals to Telluride and join The Motet as their special guest.
The Motet is set to play Saturday, March 19, at Telluride’s Club Red. The doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8:15 p.m. Tickets for this show are priced at $30-$45 and can be purchased online at clubredtelluride.com.
All Club Red shows are all ages, with various ticket levels, ranging from general admission to high table seating to preferred platform seating. All tickets are on sale and available for purchase at clubredtelluride.com.
The winter concert series is supported by TMVOA, Telluride Ski & Golf, and the Peaks Resort & Spa.
