Club Red: Anders Osborne & Jackie Greene Return to Telluride’s Club Red, 3/23!

Named by Skiing Magazine as one of ski country’s best concert venues, Club Red brings a wide variety of crowd-pleasing entertainers to Telluride and Mountain Village. Given the fact the Telluride region has long been a hotbed for national touring acts, Club Red continues to add another chapter to that rich history. The intimate music venue inside the Telluride Conference Center in Mountain Village is family-friendly and allows guests to get up close and personal with the talent.

Shows are open to all ages, with a variety of ticket options ranging from general admission to high-table seating to preferred platform seating, and some VIP-ticketed experiences.

Denise Mongan of Beyond the Groove programs Club Red (with support from Telski, Telluride Mountain Village Owner’s Association, Mountain Village and The Peaks Resort & Spa). And she always nails it. Which means Club Red shows sell out quickly.

Beyond the Groove Productions continue its winter concert series at Club Red with Anders Osborne, and Jackie Greene.

Not too long ago, Anders Osborne and Jackie Greene were booked to do a few solo acoustic shows together. One thought, and the other agreed, that the shows would be “a helluva lot more fun” if they joined together and did them “in the round.”

For two gifted friends as both singer-songwriters and guitarists—impromptu “jamming” is second nature. But for these shows, the duo has ditched their bands for some stripped down acoustic performances, each taking a turn with one of their songs, while the other provides accompaniment.

It was an excellent experience for them and the audience alike, and so Jackie and Anders are excited to continue their sit-down evenings of old-fashioned tune trading.

The show is seated and acoustic.

“We look forward to producing Anders and Jackie again in this unique, acoustic format at Club Red. We were fortunate to host one of their first collaborative shows in 2017,” said Denise Mongan, producer.

Opening the  evening will be Jonathan Sloane, a multi-talented, lifelong musician, instructor, guitarist and lyricist based outside of Washington, DC. His compositions, tone and lyrical lead guitar playing are deeply rooted in the blues; expanding into R&B, rock ‘n’ roll, funk and soul.
