Is there anything better than warming up with a mug of hot chocolate or a bowl of soup après ski? Now that the new year has brought new snow to Telluride, it’s time to stop by the Ah Haa School to pick out a new cup or bowl (or both) from The Cup and Bowl Show, an exhibition representing over 30 artists and displaying over 300 tabletop accessories.

The Cup and Bowl Show provides space for artists of all ages and skill levels to showcase their creations. Anyone and everyone from the Telluride community and beyond was invited to participate through an open call to artists of all ages. Additionally, anyone and everyone is invited to participate in ongoing free Cup and Bowl Show classes offered collaboratively by Ah Haa and Wilkinson Public Library.

With the Cup and Bowl Show, Ah Haa hopes to not only showcase artists’ work, but also help support those artists financially through art sales. To this end, Ah Haa set an unusual goal – an empty gallery by the end of January. Almost all the pieces on display in the Cup and Bowl Show are available for sale – and new work is added every week. With prices ranging from $10 to $2000, there is something for everyone in the exhibition.

Every piece purchased from the show both pays an artist and allows you to bring home a one-of-a-kind piece. An empty gallery on the show’s closing date of January 28 will mean that hundreds of objects are being enjoyed in their new homes.

Visitors are welcome to check out the Cup and Bowl Show anytime on weekdays during January. As well, Ah Haa will host a FINAL SALE Show Closing on January 27, 5-8 p.m. With tons of new cups and bowls added to the exhibition regularly, there are lots to peruse and purchase. Start the new year with a new cup or bowl from a local artist!
