Ah Haa: Cup & Bowl Show, Empty Gallery by 1/28/22 is the Goal!

The “Cup & Bowl” Show at the Ah Haa School for the Arts is open to the public through January 28, 2022. The work on display features over 30 artists and over 300 cups and bowls. With this exhibition, Ah Haa aims to provide space for artists of all ages and skill levels who want to showcase their creations. Anyone and everyone from the Telluride community and beyond was invited to participate through an open call. Additionally, all are invited to participate in ongoing free “Cup & Bowl” classes offered collaboratively by Ah Haa and Telluride’s Wilkinson Public Library.

With the Cup & Bowl show now open, Ah Haa is setting a new goal: an empty gallery.

Ah Haa is dedicated to supporting artists by providing exposure and artwork sales opportunities.

“We’re delighted that this exhibition includes work by so many artists,” says Gallery Curator Kris Kwasniewski, “Now we want to use this showcase to help support all of our participating artists financially.”

Most of the pieces on display in the “Cup & Bowl” show are available for purchase. Prices range from $10 to $2000, and there is something for everyone in the Daniel Tucker Gallery.

Sales of work in the show not only support local artists, they also make owning art accessible to everyone.

“We think everyone should be able to own art,” adds Kwasniewski, “Every piece purchased from the show both pays an artist and allows you to bring home a one-of-a-kind piece of handmade art.”

An empty gallery by the show’s closing date of January 28 will mean that hundreds of pieces of artwork are being enjoyed in new homes.

Help Ah Haa celebrate an empty gallery by taking home your own cup or bowl (or both!). The “Cup & Bowl” show is open to the public during Ah Haa’s business hours, noon to 5 p.m.
