12 Oct Ah Haa: Drawing Marathon with New York Studio School, Starts 11/11!
Telluride’s Ah Haa School for the Arts and New York Studio School collaborative Drawing Marathon takes place Thursday – Monday, 7:00am – 4:00pm MST, $1600, November 11 – 15, 2021.
The New York Studio School Marathons are widely known as incredible opportunities to explore drawing, painting and sculpture as direct methodologies for understanding one’s experience in the world. Participants experience a wide range of immersive, first-hand strategies for making art, in tandem with the intellectual challenges of extensive group and individual critiques.
This November, Ah Haa and NYSS are partnering to present a special in-person element of Graham Nickson’s 5-day Virtual Intersession Marathon. Through a combination of in-person, in-studio instruction with NYSS artist Sam Levy, and virtual components with Graham Nickson, the Marathon brings rigorous exercises, profound insights, and deep connections to students in both New York and Telluride.
Participants will benefit from the rigor and intensity of Graham Nickson’s Virtual Intersession Marathon while exploring a wide range of immersive, perceptual strategies through live model sessions and in-person critiques in Ah Haa’s new state-of-the-art facilities.

NYSS is running all registrations, so we just need to promote it as a class and send students to their application link (above).
Given the changing nature of the Delta variant of the Coronavirus, Ah Haa is now requiring everyone who participates in a class be vaccinated and upload a copy of their vaccination card at the time of registration. Further, masks should be worn in public spaces within the building. Thank you for helping us keep everyone healthy!
