“We are excited to begin construction on this project next week,” said Scott Pittenger, Director of Mountain Operations, “Ultimately, this new system will help the ski resort open trails on the Town side of the resort more quickly and efficiently. It is an important step towards continuing our efforts to improve operations through sustainability.”

The project will require the excavation of aging infrastructure, so due to the steepness of the terrain and potential for falling rock and debris, access to Telluride Trail and Camels Garden trail will be CLOSED. The Short Loop will remain open.

The closure of this area is expected to be in effect Monday-Friday, August 30 – September 3,
