OUR COVID STANCE:

We will continue to follow the protocols for indoor venues listed below and put in place by venue operators, along with highly recommending (per recommendation advisements of the CDC, SMC Health Department and the venue operators) that ALL attendees, vaccinated or not, wear masks in indoor settings whether large or small to reduce the chances of transmitting COVID-19.

COVID REMINDER FOR THE FESTIVAL:

For those attending the Telluride Mushroom Festival, we just learned that it is MANDATORY that you must show proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID test (within 3 days) to enter all large indoor venues. (This includes the Sheridan Opera House and Palm Theater during the Festival).

You do NOT have to be vaccinated nor be tested to attend the Festival. You DO if you want to attend the events scheduled in those two venues (and maybe others as we get closer to the actual scheduled event).

The Festival will not be checking your vaccine status, but the venue operators WILL BE. This is not a Festival policy, but we must abide by and respect their policies as they are following strict health orders from the State of Colorado to operate. We plan to have rapid tests available, but please plan accordingly.

NEW COVID UPDATE**

Updated information (as of July 27, 2021 from the CDC) for fully vaccinated people given new evidence on the B.1.617.2 (Delta) variant currently circulating in the United States.

Added a recommendation for fully vaccinated people to wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. (This includes San Miguel County and Telluride)

Added information that fully vaccinated people might choose to wear a mask regardless of the level of transmission, particularly if they are immunocompromised or at increased risk for severe disease from COVID-19, or if they have someone in their household who is immunocompromised, at increased risk of severe disease or not fully vaccinated.

Added a recommendation for fully vaccinated people who have a known exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 to be tested 3-5 days after exposure, and to wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days or until they receive a negative test result.

CDC recommends universal indoor masking for all teachers, staff, students, and visitors to schools, regardless of vaccination status for more information, visit here.

The Telluride Mushroom Festival will continue to update you all as the event learns more about Covid -19 safety practices before the scheduled Festival date.
