The following is a note from the Telluride Jazz Festival with the weekend schedule, pass details and more helpful information.

Start planning your weekend now and don’t miss a beat! It’s all here – jazz, funk, soul and gospel on the Main Stage, Society Stage and Jazz After Dark.

Nestled among the aspen trees and surrounded by 13,000 foot mountain peaks, festival artists will perform on Telluride’s state-of-the-art Main Stage. The secondary Society Stage – free of admission – will host weekend programming including interactive student artist performances in the center of town. The intimate performances on the Society Stage aim to further the Telluride Society for Jazz mission of providing student education through music.

Limited VIP Ticket Re-Release

Now that the optional refund period for 2020 rollover ticket-holders is closed, Telluride Jazz is re-releasing a very limited amount of VIP Passes for purchase. These passes won’t last long and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The VIP Experience features an exclusive area inside the Festival grounds with a covered, heated lounge, unobstructed stage views, seating directly in front of the stage, a hosted bar showcasing the best in craft beer, wine and specialty cocktails, private, up-scale restrooms and more.

Complimentary beer, wine and specialty cocktails. Enjoy an open bar all weekend long showcasing the best in craft beer, wine and a menu of specialty cocktails designed by mixologist Andrés Vargas Johnson at stage-view bars inside the VIP Area.

Exclusive VIP Area. Enjoy the music from an exclusive, less crowded Patron/VIP Area inside the festival with uninterrupted stage views and a covered, heated lounge with relaxed seating. The Patron/VIP area also features yard games and fire pits.

Unobstructed Seated Viewing Area In Front of Stage.The VIP area offers a clear and up-close, front-row seated view of the stage providing one of the most intimate concert experiences available.

Priority Check-In At Box Office Priority Festival Entry. VIP pass-holders will receive early, priority entry into the Festival grounds each day.

VIP Restrooms. Dedicated, upscale restrooms with flushable toilets will be available in the VIP and Patron Area.

The late-night festival schedule is here. When the music ends in Telluride Town Park each day, the fun is far from over. On Friday and Saturday nights, the music continues into the night at “Jazz After Dark” shows located around town in some of Telluride’s best indoor nightclubs and historic venues. Free “First Note” Yoga Sessions

Namasté – relax, breath deep and unwind at the free Yoga Sessions.

Guided by professional instructor Julie Johnston, enjoy a smooth yoga flow at the free “First Note” Yoga Sessions. Learn activating breath techniques, liberating movements and playful exercises in the crisp mountain morning air. Nestled in the cozy amphitheater of Elks Park in downtown Telluride, the yoga sessions are a fun and inspiring way to start your mornings.

New to yoga or considering for the first time? Guests of all skill levels are welcome to join.

Time: 8:30 – 9:30 AM on August 14 & 15
What  to bring: Water, yoga mat, towel and active wear. (Come with or without – these items are not mandatory to join in the class.)

Historical Walking Tour – Step Into The Past

Wake up with a leisurely walk through time and history.

Step into Telluride’s celebrated and storied past with the Telluride Historical Museum at this year’s Telluride Jazz Festival.

The Museum is hosting an Historical Walking Tour the morning of Saturday, August 14. Attending is great way to discover the mining, Ute Native American, ski and festival history that has earned Telluride the designation of a National Historical Landmark.

In addition, the Museum offers free admission to its exhibits for festival pass-holders throughout the weekend.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band

“The Final Waltz” closing show

The 2021 Telluride Jazz Festival comes to an end on Sunday, August 15 with a special performance by Preservation Hall Jazz Band at the historic Sheridan Opera House.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band is living, breathing New Orleans music history. Named for the fabled venue in which the ever-evolving cast of musicians is based, the collective is at once deeply rooted in traditional jazz as it is a dynamic, boundary-stretching group.
