25 Jul Sheridan Arts Foundation: $1 Telluride Community Night is 8/5!
The following is a note from Maggie Stevens, PR/Marketing Director, about Sheridan Arts Foundation‘s $1 Community Night on August 5.
Dear friends of the Sheridan Opera House,
Telluride’s Sheridan Arts Foundation is excited to bring back $1 Community Night at the Sheridan Opera House. The event features Boulder-based American roots-rock band Flash Mountain Flood and takes place Thursday, August 5, 9 p.m. Tickets really are only $1 and not sold in advance.
It’s been a rough year for everyone, so come join us for a night of dancing and celebration.
$1 Community Night started at the suggestion of our late board member Adam Max to keep Telluride’s Opera House accessible to everyone regardless of income level. We are honored to continue this event.
The night kicks off with free music from Six Dollar String Band as part of Happy Hour on the SHOW Bar Patio from 6-8 p.m.
In addition to $1 Community Night, the Opera House is featuring free performances by the Young People’s Theater in the upcoming weeks: two performances of “101 Dalmatians* on Friday, July 23 at 1 and 5 p.m.; two performances of “A Year with Frog and Toad* on Friday, July 30 at 1 and 5 p.m.
There are also a few spots left for “A Year with Frog and Toad” Summer Spectacular on Monday, July 26 through Friday, July 30. Click HERE to register. This class is for rising 3rd through 6th graders, and campers to attend from 9 a.m – 3 p.m. daily. Performances are on Friday, July 30 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
*masks are required for anyone ages 2 and up attending the free performances
