This past summer, the Telluride Arts team worked hard to make the Telluride Transfer Warehouse a dynamic, inclusive and safe space for everyone to enjoy. Behind the scenes, Jereb Carter – the Transfer Warehouse Manager – has been an essential point person for getting the space ready for community use this spring.
In normal times, Jereb works with Symbiotic Event Services and various Telluride festivals, but last summer he joined the Telluride Arts team.
Jereb and his crew are the doers, shakers, and Rainbow Makers for building the new Quonset Hut in the Warehouse – where Telluride Arts will host Free Aprés Ski with live music and ticketed Tiny Concerts starting 3/5/21.

During COVID, arts venues have been among the hardest hit. Thanks to the roof collapsing in 1979, the Warehouse has been one of the few arts venues in the country to remain open for business.
“The goal is to continue to nurture the community’s need for social gatherings, to host events of all types, and to serve as the epicenter for creativity and connection…which is extremely important to our community for our mental health!,” said Jereb .
None of this would have been possible without the outpouring of community support in the form of contributions, and just plain hard work. Shout out to those who came after their day jobs, made time in their schedules, volunteered, and worked through inclement weather.
