18 Dec Telski: Terrain Openings!
Telski announces an additional 350+ acres are to be added.
After a few good snowstorms and solid snowmaking temperatures, the Telluride crews are making good progress for opening more terrain this weekend and into next week.
On Saturday, December 19, lifts 7, 8, and 9 will open for regularly scheduled hours with access to the Town of Telluride available via the Telluride Trail. The terrain off Lift 9, with the exception of the gladed terrain, will also be open.
By the middle of next week, the resort plans to have an additional 350+ acres to ski, with lifts 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 all opening. Ute Park (Lift 11) will have a beginner park open.
Snowmaking is continuing to allow a few new runs to open as soon as possible including: Misty Maiden, Woozley’s Way, the North Meadows Carpet and Lower Hoot Park.
According to Director of Mountain Operations Scott Pittenger, “By next week, we should have some of the best skiing available in Colorado.”
